Juli <strong>1682<\/strong> brach im d\u00e4nischen Gl\u00fcckstadt dann die Expedition unter Kommando Major <a href=\"https:\/\/de.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Otto_Friedrich_von_der_Groeben\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Otto Friedrich von der Groeben<\/a> mit den <strong>Fregatten Morian<\/strong> (Kapit\u00e4n Philipp Blonck) und <strong>Chur Prinz von Brandenburg<\/strong> (Kapit\u00e4n Mattheus de Vo\u00df) zur sogenannten Goldk\u00fcste auf, mit dem Ziel, dort brandenburgische Kolonien zu gr\u00fcnden.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">An Bord befanden sich unter anderen die beiden Festungsbauingenieure Walter und Leugreben, der F\u00e4hnrich von Selbig als milit\u00e4rischer Leiter neben einem Sergeanten, zwei Korporalen, 40 Soldaten, zwei Spielleute nebst zahlreichen angeworbenen Arbeitern. Am 27. Dezember 1682 betrat Otto Friedrich von der Groeben am Kap der drei Spitzen nahe dem Dorf Accada erstmalig afrikanischen Boden (nachdem drei Soldaten und zwei Matrosen bei der \u00dcberfahrt aufgrund der harten Brandung den Tod gefunden hatten). Nachdem man hier jedoch mit pl\u00f6tzlich auftauchenden Holl\u00e4ndern aneinander geriet, segelte man weiter und landete einige Seemeilen weiter nordwestlich zwischen den Orten Taccrama und Axim an. Dort fand man in der N\u00e4he des Dorfes Poquesoe (heute Prinzess Town) einen fast idealen Standort f\u00fcr das zuk\u00fcnftige Fort. An diesem Platz fand auch am 1. Sie nahm am damaligen Dreieckshandel zwischen Europa, Afrika und Amerika teil und handelte unter anderem mit Sklaven. Der Heimathafen war Emden, dazu besa\u00df sie St\u00fctzpunkte in Westafrika (u. a. die Kolonie Gro\u00df Friedrichsburg) und in der Karibik.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;\">Die Gr\u00fcndung 1682 unter dem Kurf\u00fcrsten Friedrich Wilhelm hing eng mit dem Wirken des in brandenburgischen Diensten stehenden Holl\u00e4nders Raule und der forcierten Entwicklung der kurbrandenburgischen Marine zusammen.
